Drawing In Class

On top is a sketch from Art Seminar with Mr. Ted Prescott which was created after a pop-quiz that I am somehow never really prepared for. That day resulted in zero. I am so brilliant.

On the bottom is Mr. Ed Knippers, the painter that also makes woodblock prints. He was a guest "lecturer" for Mr. Don Forsythe's intaglio class. He actually carved a woodblock and proofed it as we watched, took notes, and asked questions.

Are you serious? I would miss another one. How did it go for you?

He wrote the first question wrong, and then I got another 2 wrong. So really a 2 out of 5. Not bad for not having read any of it.

Pop quiz...gotta love em'...did you ever get the urge at 'our age' to sneak a peak at someone else's paper?!?! My last set of college classes we had a test in Intro to Exceptional Children and for a split second I felt like I was in high school again...and would you believe a thought krept in the back of my mind, like a whisper, to see what the guy in front of me had put down...as soon as it happened my 'loud in your head voice' screamed out to the little quiet bad voice (Not the still small voice mind you) "Are you in third grade or something...you don't know it be a man about and if you fail you fail."

Hope all is going well with you and steph! I never did hear about how the intern illustration deal turned out...is that what you are doing now?!?!
