Etching Again

Since I have been done with school (for now) I have been working on a way to make etchings on zinc at home. It is easier than I imagined it would be. I prefer etching over drypoint and engraving and I certainly prefer working on metal plates over plexiglas. Here is a working proof.

This is sort of a side not but I did heat the plate up with a hairdryer prior to adding the ink and makes spreading and wiping the ink simply awesome.

Senior Exhibition

I am currently working on my piece for the Senior Exhibition at Messiah College. I am making 75 printed portraits and hand coloring each one. In the one photo I am working in my studio and the other is a few of the prints laid out to dry a little faster. The piece is called 75 People I Know, Volume I.
