Illustration Friday: "Snap"

I am always a little worried about snapping a drawing pen in half (or dropping it, etc.) so this is a quick self portrait of that happening.

This is also the last page of a sketchbook and this was my fastest one yet: I opened it on February 7th (of this year) and finished it today.

Thanks for all of your extremely kind and generous comments over this last week.

That is the perhaps one of the funniest and emotional sketches I've seen...(I feel that way when my kids ask to borrow my good drawing pencils...which means I'm usually at the store the next day replacing them)...

This is the best yet. Very edgy. Right on. Keep going down this wicked track. Your other work is polite. This has teeth! (and indeed they are quite wonderful teeth). And your design is great too...You Go! Ammon! Best, Q .

I love the facial expression of your characters! They are so hilarious and so delightful!
(Seems like a similar feeling to a well-loved knitting needle snapping in half mid-action, though we do have a set of five. :) About how that might happen, one just needs to exert a little too much pressure while knitting and if they are getting worn already, snap!)

Awesome style! Wonderful illo. The only thing that make it look more painful is if it spilled all over a nearly finished illustration. :)

I hate it when that happens! Nice drawing - I reallreally like your sketchbook work - your style is very fluid and fun - elastic - it reminds me of the work of John Cuneo and David Levine. Very cool.
