Flowers For A Wedding

My wife is working on an invitaion for a wedding and asked me to do a flower/apple/orange/leaf border as was requested by the bride. This is some of the rough work for it.

The End Of A Sketchbook

I have finished another sketchbook. This one lasted from December 19th of last year to 7th of this month. Each sketch book has 100 pages and that means I have a lot of really bad drawings in there that I wouldn't dare post. These are the last few.

More From the Church Sketchbook.

Keith Walker speaks at LCBC about not working for God's love. The first drawing is of Brother Dave Lombardi of Trinity Gospel Temple in Canton, Ohio.

Class Is For Drawing

These are a couple of doodles from the last class that I took over January called Engineering Economics. I do take pretty good notes and most doodle are done during breaks like whenever we wait 5 minutes for the projector to warm up. The one is Dr. David Gray who taught the class and the other is just for fun.

Happy Birthday Wendy!

It is Steph's (my wife's) sister's birthday and this is what will be her card at lunchtime today. She likes Starbuucks. The girl in the card is speaking Starbuckian. Why do coffee joints have such a crazy language? The world may never know but I imagine that it has something to do with marketing. I bet I could sell grass clippings if I renamed it. Every time I order from Starbucks I feel like I am guessing the whole time: I have to guess at the pronunciation and whatever I am ordering. I don't go often enough to remember what I was lucky enough to order the previous time (or unlucky enough). Fortunately, there is usually there is something warm and coffeeish at the end of the bar and that makes me happy.

All that to say Happy Birthday Wendy!

Maximus

This card is for Dave and Sarah and their new baby Max. When Max was born they cancelled cable tv and this is why Max has a remote. The inside says, "Ok, who tuned off the cable." The second is the rough for this same card.

It turns out that this does not look like Max at all but I didn't see any photos until after it was completed.

Congratulations Dave and Sarah!
